Delicate recovery operation of a luxury yacht grounded on coral reef in Sharm El Sheikh, prioritizing environmental protection.
The Challenge
A luxury yacht ran aground on a protected coral reef in Sharm El Sheikh during night navigation. The situation required extremely careful handling to prevent both vessel damage and environmental harm to the sensitive coral ecosystem. The operation needed approval from environmental authorities and had to be conducted with minimal reef impact.
Our Solution
Almancy worked closely with environmental authorities to develop a reef-safe recovery plan. Our expert divers carefully assessed the yacht's position and reef contact points. We used specialized soft lifting equipment and carefully timed the operation with tidal movements. Environmental monitors were present throughout to ensure no additional reef damage occurred during the recovery process.

The Results
The yacht was successfully lifted and refloated without causing additional damage to the reef or vessel. Post-recovery reef assessment confirmed minimal environmental impact. The operation received commendation from environmental authorities for its careful execution and demonstrated our commitment to environmental responsibility in marine operations.
